Friends you must have noted ads by railways on irctc portal about travel with soft ticket- no need to print .
Earlier without a print passengers were penalised Rs 50/-. now Rly (Railway )wants passengers to travel with soft tickets.
Recently I tried this. having a counter booked ticket in the pocket I presented the mobile message with PNR status.
It has been accepted and NO paper ticket has been demanded by the TTE.
This is a praise worthy step by railways and we all should join the movement to save paper -- in turn save environment...
I have already joined.
